The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has apprehended ten suspected drug offenders during a coordinated, intelligence-led operation across several communities in Cape Coast.
Targeting notorious hotspots for alleged drug trafficking and abuse, the operation was simultaneously executed across Pedu, Victoria Road, Downtown, and areas surrounding the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
This crackdown forms part of NACOC’s ongoing strategy to combat the illicit drug trade and enhance public safety.
During the raids, officers secured the arrest of the ten suspects—comprising both men and women aged between 24 and 55—and retrieved various items believed to be connected to illegal narcotics activities.
The seized exhibits are currently undergoing forensic examination to support the Commission’s investigations.
This successful sweep underscores NACOC’s commitment to dismantling local drug networks and reducing the availability of illicit substances.
The suspects are currently assisting police with ongoing enquiries and will be processed for court in accordance with the law.
