The Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team has arrested ten suspects in connection with a viral video showing two young women being harassed and assaulted at Dawuranpong in the Western Region.
According to police reports, three key suspects — Eric Donkor, also known as Killer Block, aged 32; Yaw Gyimah, 29; and Edmond Nartey, 24 — were identified as being directly involved in the incident captured in the footage.
Another suspect, Tawiah, popularly known as Awaga, who was also seen participating in the assault, is currently on the run. Police have intensified efforts to track and arrest him.
Seven additional suspects — Steven Amu, 24; Farouk Balas, 18; Mensah Bernard, 18; Adu Baggeo, 23; Bismark Nyarko, 30; Akwesi Poku George, 18; and Oteng Alfred, 23 — were also arrested for various roles believed to have aided or encouraged the act.
The Police Administration says it is working closely to ensure that the victims receive the necessary care, protection, and support as investigations continue.
