A raging fire has swept through a multiple mechanic shops at Sofoline in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Sunday night, extensively damaging properties and livelihoods during hours of blaze.
The blaze, which broke out around 7:00 p.m., destroyed more than 100 vehicles, numerous engines, and large quantities of upholstery materials, leaving shop owners and workers counting heavy losses.
The cause of the fire remains officially unknown, but some artisans are attributing it to someone burning refuse in the area.
