The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced that approximately 15,000 students have already received financial disbursements under the government’s flagship “No Fee Stress” policy.
This initiative aims to alleviate the burden of educational fees for students across the country.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Minister Kwakye Ofosu stated:
“About 15,000 students have received disbursements under the policy. Remaining students will receive payments shortly after verification.”
The government is currently completing the verification process for the remaining beneficiaries to ensure that all eligible students receive their payments promptly.
President John Mahama is scheduled to officially launch the No Fee Stress policy tomorrow in Koforidua, marking a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to making education more accessible and affordable.
Independent investigations conducted by Kumasimail.com have confirmed that the government has begun refunding fees to students who had already paid their tuition under the No Fee Stress policy.
This move is expected to provide immediate financial relief to many families.
