The Black Stars of Ghana landed in Côte d’Ivoire Wednesday afternoon ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Ghana’s 27 man squad left Ghana on Wednesday morning, look stunning in their white kaftan and customary “Ahenema” footwear.
However, as they touched down in Abidjan, they were all wrapped in colourful Ghanaian kente cloth, symbolizing the country’s culture to the outside world.
Head coach of the team Chris Hughton and his men will continue preparations in Ivory Coast, as they aim to end Ghana’s AFCON trophy drought since 1982.
Ghana is in group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
