Coach Chris Hughton has called up FC Basel defender, Kasim Nuhu Adams to replace first choice centre back for the Black Stars, Alexander Dziku.
Dziku picked up an ankle injury back in May, during Strasbourg’s league game against Troyes, and has since not recovered.
Though Chris Hughton included his name in the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier game against Madagascar, he pulled out due injury.
However, Chris Hughton has replaced him with Kasim Nuhu Adams, who has been impressive for FC Basel, where he played on loan.
Nuhu made 28 appearances for the Basel in the just ended season, scoring one and providing one assist.
In 2017, he received his first call-up to the Ghanaian national team, and since then, he has played 11 times for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars will set up camp in Accra on June 12, to begin preparation for the Madagascar qualifier, which will take place on July 18, 2023, in Antananarivo.
