Ghana’s U-20 men’s national team, the Black Satellites on Tuesday night recorded an emphatic victory over Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium in their second Group A match.

The victory was very crucial as they were held to a goalless draw by Congo in their first game.

Ghana’s bright start to the game saw them creating early opportunities to put the Gambians under intense pressure.

After enjoying a lot of possession in the early parts of the first half, Aziz Musibau capitalized on an error from the Gambian goalkeeper to give Ghana the lead in the 13th minute.

It was a dominating half for the Satellites, as  Aziz Musibau’s only goal gave Ghana the advantage at half-time.

After the break, Abdul Aziz Issah doubled Ghana’s lead just four minutes into the start.

Aziz Musibau could have scored a brace in the 75th minute to give the team a three-goal advantage but was denied by the Gambian goalkeeper.

Seven minutes later, substitute Ebrimah Ceesay reduced the deficit to 2-1 after he calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of the goalpost.

However, just in the 90th minute, Jerry Afriyie scored again for Ghana to end the game 3-1.

The results mean Ghana now tops Group A with four points and will play Benin in their last group game on Friday.
