The draw for the 2023 All African Games was held in Ivory Coast on Thursday, February 1.
In the men’s football competition, Ghana, which will be represented by the Black Satellites have been paired alongside Benin, Congo and the Gambia in Group A.
Group B, which has five teams, includes Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda and Tunisia.
The Black Satellites, led by Coach Desmond Ofei is now training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in preparation for the competition.
Ghana won the Male Football Competition at the 2011 edition of the African Games after beating South Africa 4-2 on penalties.
With the women’s football competition, eight countries have been put into two groups, with the Black Princesses drawn against Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia in Group A.
While Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon and Morocco are in group B.
The tournament will begin on March 8, and end on March 23, 2024.
