Four of Ghana’s athletes have secured qualification for the 200m semi-final for both men’s and women’s events at the ongoing 2023 African Games in Accra.
For the women’s event, Janet Mensah comfortably won her heat with a time of 23.75s.
The other three athletes competed in the men’s category.
Joseph Amoah won his heat with 20.91s while Ibrahim Fuseini also finished first with 21.02s.

Solomon Hammond, who was the third athlete in the men’s category also finished second in his heat with 21.32s.
The semi-final event is scheduled to take place later Thursday evening with the women’s starting at 16:45 GMT while the men’s start at 17:10 GMT.
