The leader and founder of the Movement for Change (M4C), Alan Kyerematen and a former flagbearer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster have announced an alliance to contest in the 2024 elections.
In a statement released on April 4, 2024, the leaders of the National Interest Movement and Movement for Change revealed that have both concluded talks with a number of political entities and individuals to closely work together and the NDC and NPP duopoly.
“The alliance seeks to end the dominance of the duopoly, the NDC and the NPP, in Ghanaian politics, two Parties which after 32 years in government, have failed to address the fundamental challenges of development in our beloved country”, the statement noted.
The statement further revealed that the alliance when officially launched on April 17, would be named the “Alliance for Revolutionary Change” (ARC) and will aggressively mobilize Ghanaians from across the country, particularly the youth and women, irrespective of their religious, political, and ethnic affiliations, in a grand coalition to elect the first Independent Candidate as the President of the Republic of Ghana.
According to the two, when voted into power, their administration will focus on breaking the cycle of poverty and resetting the country on a new path to prosperity.
