Former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has called for unity and togetherness across all levels of the party.
According to him, unity is an essential ingredient for the success and development of the NDC party going into the 2024 elections, adding that any political party that lacked unity would likely implode and have its political fortunes affected.
In an interview with Ohene Boamah Bennie on TV XYZ’s “GUMBE SHOW,” Mr. Akamba reiterated that Ghanaians are yearning for the comeback of the NDC, and it can only be achieved if there is no acrimony, infighting, or apartheid among party members. He stressed that the current economic hardships Ghanaians are experiencing are a clear indication that the ruling New Patriotic Party has failed the country woefully.
He indicated that, for the NDC to win the December 7 elections, it is prudent for members of the umbrella fraternity to bury their differences, eschew arrogance, and work assiduously towards winning this year’s general elections.
He admonished party faithfuls and all executives to be united because the common enemy is the new Patriotic Party.
He urged members of the party to work hard and sell the message of the 24-hour economy policy by John Mahama to ensure the party secures victory at the 2024 polls and also forms a majority in parliament.
