The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to launch its youth manifesto for the 2024 general elections today Monday, August 12, 2024.
According to the spokesperson for John Mahama’s campaign team, Joyce Bawah Mogtari revealed in a statement that, the manifesto will be launched at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) and will spell out the party’s commitment to addressing challenges faced by the youth.
“The Mahama 2024 campaign is excited to announce a full day of activities led by our flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, on Monday, August 12th, International Youth Day. The activities will focus on the youth and Mahama’s commitment to addressing their challenges. In the morning, Mr Mahama will launch the NDC’s Youth Manifesto at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA)”, parts of the statement noted.
Launching the youth manifesto on a day set aside to celebrate youth globally, the former President will also hold a “one-of-a-kind Mahama Youth Townhall Meeting” at the Bukom Boxing Arena which will include showcasing initiatives and policies to tackle youth unemployment, providing education, skills and digital training, entrepreneurship, and more.
“Mahama’s vision, a beacon of hope, is centred on Building the Ghana we want together. He believes in empowering the youth and creating opportunities for them to thrive and succeed”.
The party has urged the youth to embrace the occasion and vote for Mahama and Naana and the NDC in the 2024 elections to drive change that benefits all Ghanaians and create a better future for the youth and the country as a whole.
