NDC running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has urged Ghanaians to vote with the future of the country in mind, rather than along party lines.
She emphasized that the government’s decisions significantly impact the country’s trajectory, pointing to the current hardships under the NPP administration as a reason for voters to reconsider their choices in the upcoming elections.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang appealed to the public to vote overwhelmingly for the NDC, assuring that they have the ability to turn the country’s fortunes around.
Her message was delivered on her behalf by Charlotte Otuwa Odoom, the former Mayor of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, during a speech at the 50th anniversary thanksgiving service of the Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Lagos Town Society.
NDC Parliamentary candidate for Kwesimintim, Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman, also highlighted the importance of safeguarding national values and working collectively towards the country’s development.
Meanwhile, the Methodist Bishop of the Sekondi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel K. Ansah, called on the Church to take a leading role in bringing about change. He noted that corruption, selfishness, and nepotism are among the issues holding the country back.
