Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, popularly called Freezy MacBones, has expressed disappointment after he recorded his first defeat in his career at the 2024 Olympic qualifiers in Senegal on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

The bout, which was his debut for Ghana after his decision to join the national boxing team, the Black Bombers, saw the 33-year-old lose to Senegalese Seydou Konate in the light heavyweight division [81 kg].

Taking to his Twitter handle, the UK-based boxer expressed his devastation, he assured Ghanaians that he would do everything to correct his mistakes and return to victory.

“I am very devastated by today’s defeat but nevertheless I always take positive thing from a negative situation. I will bounce back, I will be back stronger. It is not over yet,” he wrote.

He added “I would like to sincerely thank Ghanaians for their support and my teammates as well. Love you all.”
