The Black Queens of Ghana will play Namibia later today Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in South Africa in the ongoing 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Queens who arrived in Pretoria, South Africa on Sunday for the 2nd leg encounter are hoping to get a positive result to qualify for the competition for the first time since 20218 after they recorded a 3-1 victory in Accra on Friday.
Speaking ahead of the game, head coach for the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle said her side remains calm, relaxed and determined ahead of the game.
She added that, despite leading 3-1 on aggregates, her players will not be complacent.
“In football, never, we have all in the bag. We have enough experienced players now and they know what it is about staying humble in camp.
We also had a good video analysis session with some details to adjust from the last game and we practice those elements on the pitch”.
The Black Queens under Nora Hauptile have won all 10 games they have played so far, conceding just one goal.
“Still unbeaten as we have won all ten games and this makes us proud. We have developed our performance and our style of play and also the kind of values we live in our team. We have a very good cohesion and very clear basis on which we act on. After the game I never think about anything else. I take this as the next game, we prepare like always so we are quite calm, relax towards the game”, she said.
The game would be played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
