The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will today Thursday, July 4, 2024, organize the qualifiers draw for the 35th edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025.
The draw will see Ghana placed in Pot 1 with the reigning African Champions Cote D’Ivoire, host Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria, DR. Congo, South Africa, Mali, Algeria, Tunisia and Cameroon.
According to CAF, the seeding was based on the official FIFA ranking released on June 20, 2024.
The 48 teams qualified to participate in the 2nd round of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025 qualifiers have been seeded into 4 levels:
There will be 12 Groups of 4 teams (Group A to L) II. The first and the runner-up of the 11 groups where the host is not playing will qualify to the final tournament. For the group of the host, since the host is automatically qualified only one team will qualify from the group.
The draw will take place in Johannesburg at 14h30 Local Time (12h30 GMT).
