Ghana has secured qualification for this year’s World Cup and will compete in Group L alongside England, Panama, and Croatia.

Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Ampem, who doubles as Chairman of the Fundraising Committee, stated,

“For us as a country, we see the Black Stars participation in the World Cup as an opportunity to market Ghana, to sell Ghana and to show Ghana to the world and so apart from the sporting event…we are partnering GIPC-Ghana Investments Promotion Centre-to organize investment forums in major cities in DC-Washington-, in Toronto and others to allow Ghanaian companies to showcase what they have in this country.”
