The Film Crew Association of Ghana (FICAG), organizers of the Ghana Film and Television Crew Awards (GFTC Awards), have announced and presented plaques to the winners of the second edition.
Held at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s SNAP Cinema Hall on Saturday, April 29, the event on the night awarded hardworking crew members in both the television and film industry, respectively.
Speaking at the award event, the President of the FICAG/GFTC Awards, Samuel Gyandoh, congratulated all nominees and winners for their selfless dedication throughout the year under review.
“For many years, these men and women have worked tirelessly to bring us the great entertaining programmes we witness on our televisions. We deem it a great privilege to honour these individuals for their great service to the film industry.” Gyandoh noted
On the night, one of the recipients of the honorary award, Mr. Roger Quartey, fulfilled a GH₵2,000 promise he made to the BEST PRODUCTION ASSISTANT WINNER, Akwaku Joseph Oman – SEVSU.
Stephen Ekeso was crowned the Best Location Manager and Overall Best Crew.
The night was not complete without comedy and music as award-winning gospel artist JAYANA lit up the stage with her energetic performance, and DKB held it down with rib-cracking comedies. Hitz FM/Joy Prime TV personality Doreen Avio co-hosted the show with DKB.
Several filmmakers and media personalities were present on the night to support the show with their respective reputations and brands.
Personalities including H.E. Mr Sugandh Rajaram, High Commissioner of India to Ghana and Mr Albert Dwumfour-GJA President were also present to support the event.
Ghana Film and Television Crew Awards (GFTC Awards) is sponsored by Gh Media School, Adom City Estate, HOMI, and Republic Media as Media Partner.
The event was also supported by Yoga Fresh, Bandex Bread, Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture.
