The Trainees under the New Patriotic Party government flagship program Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) have expressed their hostility over how the secretariat and the government are treating them.
According to some cadets, the secretariat started the frustration since the inception of the program, believing their three years working experience is sufficient for them to get hired as permanent staff.
However, the helpless trainees have pleaded to the government to fulfill its potential and stop the plenty of online trainees which do not add up to their credentials.
“It seems our three-year stay in our various agencies to gain the requisite experience is not ample for the government to give us permanent jobs, every single term there is this online training by the secretariat, but the most excruciating view of it is that, some of us cannot enroll because of it complexity and network availability, this tell us the government is not ready to give us permanent jobs, we crave to tell the government that our three years working experiences with Diplomas and Degrees from accredited tertiary institutions across the country is enough for the permanent placements, they should stop deceiving us”, they noted.
Besides, the trainees asserted that all hope relating to the permanent arrangements as affirmed by H. E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has vanished since the secretariat keeps enrolling them in unwarranted online courses which has been given them severe headache.
“We understand that, the online training can be worthwhile, but it’s becoming too flagrant, and it is given us a sleepless night, the secretariat have threatened us that anyone who may not complete the process should count him or herself inactive from the scheme, we smell these are some tactics to eliminate some trainees from the system in this pivotal stage, we are appealing to the President to fulfill his obligations”, they affirmed.
On their various social media platforms, Facebook and WhatsApp, the over sixty thousand trainees vowed to vote against the Npp government if they cannot revere their assurances.
“We are also Ghanaians, and we worked for the NPP government during the 2020 general elections to win. We shall inform ourselves, we shall campaign and vote against the Npp government, if they fail their pledges”, they echoed.
