Evacuated Ghanaian nationals on the second flight of the second batch, numbering about 342, have arrived at the Accra International Airport.

This group forms part of the second batch and is among more than 1,500 Ghanaian nationals who voluntarily opted to be repatriated from South Africa following recent waves of xenophobic attacks and anti-immigrant protests against foreign nationals.

The first flight, which arrived on Saturday, June 7, brought 345 nationals and was received by a government delegation led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, and the Minister for Gender, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey.
