A 55-year-old woman, Abena Kwenuwa has been found dead in her farm at Enyan Abaasa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region.

Information gathered revealed that the deceased left home last Sunday evening around 4:30pm without telling anybody in the community.

When her husband Okyeame Kwegyere and some of the residents realized that she has kept long in returning home, they decided to search for her from her hometown because they thought she has travelled to her hometown at Breman Essiam also in the same Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.

When the search at her hometown did not yield any result, they extended the search to her farm and there, they saw a pan she used to carry farm produce with some foodstuffs so they decided to continue searching because they sensed that something strange might have happened to her but all efforts to found her proved futile.

The search team went home and reported the incident to the Enyan Abaasa Police for further investigations.

The team went back to her farm but this time around they found the lifeless body behind a heaped of firewood.

The police were informed where inspection was done on the dead body and no cut or wound was found and was deceased was conveyed to Etuafoa Mortuary at Ajumako Mando for preservation.

It was believed that the deceased slipped and fell down when trying to carry the firewood herself since she went to the farm alone.

No arrests have been made so far.
