Seven individuals have reportedly died in a road accident involving a tanker and commercial vehicle on the Amasaman-Nsawam road in the Greater Accra Region.
The incident is said to have occurred in the late hours of Monday, February 5, 2024.
According to an eyewitness the tanker failed its brakes and ran over the commercial vehicle which was slowing down upon getting to a section of the road which is under construction.
This resulted in the death of seven out of the 10 passengers onboard the commercial vehicle.
Officials of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service and bystanders managed to remove the victims from the mangled vehicle.
