Aggrieved customers of the defunct gold dealership firm Menzgold Ghana Limited have issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the government, demanding a GH¢2 million bailout to alleviate their financial distress.

At a press conference in Accra, the customers warned that failure to meet their demands could result in a collective decision to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 elections.

The Coalition of Aggrieved Menzgold Customers, leading the charge, highlighted the devastating impact of the company’s collapse in 2018, citing financial hardship, suicides, and reported deaths.

They also called for the establishment of a commission office to oversee the payment process for their locked-up funds.

Since Menzgold’s closure, customers have repeatedly urged the government to intervene and assist in retrieving their investments.

Despite years of ultimatums and appeals, they remain uncompensated and are now escalating their demands.
