The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a mandatory transition to a cashless payment system, aligning with the government’s broader initiative to modernize revenue collection.

Under the new directive, all payments including the 20% and 10% administrative service charges must now be processed through the GHANA.GOV platform, effective immediately.

The move is aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for all stakeholders working with the NSA.

According to the NSA, payments can now be made 24/7 through the GHANA.GOV website (www.ghana.gov.gh) or via the mobile shortcode *222# on all networks.

The system allows payments through multiple channels, including debit and credit cards, mobile money, online banking, QR code scanning, direct transfers, and international SWIFT or ACH transfers.

The NSA has explicitly stated that manual payments to NSA staff at district, regional, and headquarters offices will no longer be valid. All user agencies and personnel are expected to comply with the new digital payment system.

Mr. Felix Gyamfi, Director-General of the NSA, emphasized that this transition is crucial for enhancing efficiency and ensuring that payments are securely processed.

He urged stakeholders to embrace the system as part of Ghana’s push toward a fully cashless economy.
