In a bid to strengthen stakeholder engagement on Ghana’s Start-up Bill, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, held a consultative meeting with key players in the start-up ecosystem on February 21, 2025.
The meeting brought together representatives from the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (NEIP), the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE), the Association of Ghana Startups, the International Trade Center (ITC), and the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations (MOCDTI).
Discussions focused on refining the provisions of the Start-up Bill, which aims to establish a structured framework to support the growth and sustainability of start-ups in Ghana. The bill is expected to address critical challenges faced by entrepreneurs, including access to funding, regulatory hurdles, and infrastructure development.
Minister Sam George emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a vibrant start-up ecosystem that can drive innovation, job creation, and economic development.
The stakeholders also shared insights and recommendations to ensure the bill effectively meets the needs of Ghanaian start-ups.
