He also laid for the provision of a modern Library and an ICT lab.
The Central organizing committee chairman, Kwame Amo added that between April and May, the association undertook a social contract by planting trees. He said the association plans to at least, for once attend traditional programs within the Nkwatia Area. He added that activities such as Mentorship program, Health screening, clean up exercise, fun games, debate and science quiz and Homecoming will be undertaken before the main event. The main event is scheduled for November 29, 2025 with a speech and prize given Day and anniversary proper.
The head mistress for Nkwatia SHS, Gloria Baafi extended her appreciation for the NOSA and commended them for the construction of the infirmary. She touched on the lack of teachers’ presence in the school due to the unavailability of accommodation. She said, when these provisions are made, the authorities will be able to check indiscipline and the protection of students.
“Now the world is a global one and other institutions have such facilities helping students to enhance their studies and I believe such facilities will equally enhance our students, build their confidence level and help them to study”, she added.
Nkwatia Senior High School has a population of nearly 2,000 students. She revealed that the school needs an additional dormitory for the females.
“Some of them are sleeping on the floor and it doesn’t look nice but such issues, it’s very difficult to talk about it but it’s our need and so if we can have additional dormitory and a class room block, it will increase enrollment”,
