Scores of NPP grassroots members in the Volta Region have unanimously declared their infliching support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the most credible, efficient, competent and a unifying force to lead the party into the 2028 general elections and beyond.

The overwhelming declaration was made at a press conference in Ho, the regional capital. Madam Thelma Christabel Adzimah, Ho Central Constituency Women Organizer of the NPP, on behalf of concerned polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and constituency executives across the region read the press statement.
According to the party faithfuls, Bryan Acheampong is a leader who listens, respects the base, and has consistently worked to strengthen the party structures, even when others stayed away. They praised his track record in grassroots-focused initiatives including education, healthcare, borehole construction, farm inputs, and educational support.
“We believe that Hon. Bryan Acheampong is the right man for the future of the NPP,” the statement emphasized. “He is a unifier who can lead the party to wrestle power from the deceptive John Mahama and the NDC government.”
The group also called for calm and unity within the party, warning against internal divisions that could weaken the NPP’s chances in future elections. Referencing the 2023 presidential primaries, they noted that many party faithful were left disillusioned and frustrated by the outcome.

“We are urging all rank and file of our beloved party to support the vision of Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong,” the statement read. “Let no one ignore the grassroots again — the future of the party depends on us.”
The grassroots members cautioned presidential hopefuls, national executives, and former appointees against assuming that endorsements from former government officials reflect grassroots support. Instead, they urged direct engagement with polling station executives and other community-level actors who are the true drivers of the party’s strength.
They also appealed to the national leadership to ensure a free, fair, and transparent internal electoral process that truly reflects the will of the party’s grassroots members.
All stakeholders were urged to put party unity and grassroots empowerment above personal ambition.
