A high-level delegation from China’s Ministry of Public Security – Criminal and Investigations Office, led by Mr. Liu Chinjie, has paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Mr. Samuel Basintale Amadu, to explore deeper security collaboration.
The meeting focused on managing the activities of Chinese nationals in Ghana and discussed strategies to enhance immigration oversight while strengthening diplomatic ties.
Both parties expressed their commitment to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation in addressing transnational challenges.
As part of the engagement, Mr. Chinjie extended an invitation to the GIS for specialized cybersecurity training in China.
The proposed training aims to build technical expertise among Ghanaian immigration officers in cybercrime detection and prevention, reinforcing both countries’ shared interest in securing digital and territorial boundaries through partnership.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to boost bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and capacity-building, with both nations recognizing the increasing need for collaborative security measures in a digitally interconnected world.
