The President and Government of Ghana have released a statement expressing their sincere gratitude to the people of Ghana and the international community for their outpouring of support and condolences following the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, which claimed eight lives.

The government appreciates the practical assistance and acts of kindness extended to the bereaved families, providing comfort and solace during this difficult time.
The government thanks those who worked tirelessly to ensure that the victims received a dignified and befitting Ghanaian burial, honoring their memory and reflecting the compassion of the Ghanaian people.
The Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debrah has directed that flags at all public buildings be restored to full mast with immediate effect, following the conclusion of the state funeral and burial of the victims.
The government urges Ghanaians to remain united in prayer, comfort one another, and continue to support the families affected by the tragedy.
