The Akwatia District Police Command in the Eastern South Region has arrested two men, including a Chinese national, for unlawful possession of ammunition.
The suspects, Enoch Asiedu, 32, and Lu Youyan, 58, were picked up on Friday, August 22, 2025, around 9:00 p.m., when a police patrol team intercepted a Toyota Hilux pickup at the Boadua Livingstone snap checkpoint.
A search of the vehicle uncovered four live BB cartridges, which were seized as exhibits.

The suspects were subsequently taken to the Akwatia Police Station for questioning.
During interrogation, suspect Asiedu reportedly told police investigators that the ammunition belonged to their employer, identified only as Mohammed, who owns the pickup.
Police say efforts are underway to trace Mohammed for questioning.
Both suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations.
