Donations to support the children of victims of the August 6 helicopter crash have so far reached GHS6,583,600 and US$20,000.
The fund, established to provide long-term care and assistance for the children left behind after the tragic incident, continues to attract contributions from individuals and organisations nationwide.
In a statement issued on Saturday, September 13, the Coordinator of the Fund and Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, confirmed that 11 individuals and organisations made donations between September 1 and 11, 2025.
The donors include NIB Ghana, Keda Ghana Ceramics Limited, Cynthia Naa Odotey, Nana Victoria Akyaa Afriyie-Abrokwa, Chase Group Foundation, Kay Simmon, MTN Ghana, Dela Radio, KGL Technology, Charles Incoom, and Ghana Commercial Bank in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Guide.
Dr. Sawyerr welcomed the growing support and encouraged more contributions from the public, stressing the importance of securing sustainable care for the affected children. She added that donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited (Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra).
Account details provided are: GHS Account 9040013628372 and USD Account 9040013628534. Cheques and bank drafts should be addressed to Children Support Fund 6825. In addition, mobile money (MoMo) payments are being accepted through designated platforms to broaden accessibility.
The fund has become a rallying point for both corporate and individual donors who see it as a duty to ensure the welfare of the children. With the contributions received so far, the support system aims to address immediate needs while also creating a sustainable safety net for the years ahead.
