A 36-year-old woman has been knocked down by a commercial vehicle which failed brakes at Appollo Traffic Light in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region while she was carrying out her usual sales activities.
Naomi Dadzie sustained severe injuries from the impact of the accident with her intestines visible after the collision, according to eyewitnesses.
She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kwesimintsim Government Hospital where she was rushed to.
Passengers who survived their injuries are receiving treatment at the hospital.
