The Ghana Free Zones Authority and Global Afrique Limited have launched the Ghana Business Expo 2021 in Abidjan, Cote D’ Ivoire.

The event, which kicked off on the 16th of September, is expected to end on Saturday the 18th.

The organization of the trade event is part of Ghana Free Zone Authority’s aftercare services designed to support licensed enterprises to access international markets.

Speaking at the Seminar held for Ghanaian companies in Abidjan, Amb Mike Oquaye Jnr called on entrepreneurs in the two countries to take advantage of the AfCFTA.

He opined that the AfCFTA presents Africa with a considerable opportunity to accelerate its growth agenda.

“Africa now awaits your ideas, services, and products. I am excited that the coming into force of the AfCFTA removes many of the barriers that hitherto impeded the growth we desperately needed. It’s now time to explore as you step up to achieve more as entrepreneurs. Africa Awaits”

He called for the two countries to harmonize their efforts to co-create value that benefits businesses operating in both countries.

Mr. Moses Envolah, the Minister Plenipotentiary ( Economic and Political ) from the Ghana Embassy in Abidjan, also assured Ghanaian enterprises of the Embassy’s support.

The Over Forty (40 ) participants at the Seminar were briefed by some front-line agencies, including the Ivorian Customs, Standards Authority (Codinorm), and Agence PME (Small and Medium enterprises Agency).

Participants expressed their satisfaction and appreciation to the organizers of the program at the end of the Seminar
