Highlife music act, Augustine Osei Owusu known on stage as C–zar has lauded Kofi Kinaata for his lyrics prowess.
Speaking on Republic FM’s Artiste Profile with Nana Effah on Friday, November 19, 2021, the ‘Mercy Lokko’ hit maker emphasized Kinaata’s ability to transform his intellectual skills into useful musical application.
He, however, maintains that the ‘Thy Grace’ hit maker tops his selection hitherto the former’s competency of translating knowledge in the music space but reiterated that, business wise, he will go for the Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
“Musically, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene and Kidi are very good”. He said
“You see, my top three Artistes will be for Kofi Kinaata, Kidi and Eugene but when you ask me, I will say Kinaata tops all because he’s very intelligent and speaks lot of wisdom in his songs but then business wise, Shatta is a perfect example”. He added.
According to C-zar, he is very passionate about music but wants to concentrate on business now.
“Music takes time. Sometimes, one needs to weigh options. You must plan a future for your successors. Some options must be dropped while others must be focused on”, he said.
“I am into an electrical business. I am specialised at supply”, he reiterated.
C-zar is a unique highlife artiste who had taken the use of rhymes and metaphors seriously. His songs had heavily relied on these elements and Ghanaians accepted his style quite well.
