The Head Pastor of New Jerusalem Chapel, Bishop John Yaw Adu has chastised Ghanaian doomsday prophets who cause fear and panic among Ghanaians with their prophecies.

He described such prophets as pessimistic who sees possible calamity in every situation and always predicting that bad things will happen to some key statesmen in the country.

Bishop John Yaw Adu admitted that they (Men of God) have killed Former presidents, John Dramani Mahama, J. A Kuffour and other notable personalities continuously with false prophecies.

Supporting the directive from IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to Religious Leaders especially doomsayers to be measured in their prophetic utterances, Bishop J. Y Adu noted that the caution is in the right direction to stop the unnecessary tension created by these doomsday prophets.

“The Chief Imam is still alive,  Former Presidents, John Agyekum Kufour and John Dramani Mahama as well as Chairperson of the EC Jean Mensah are all alive and kicking. Doomsday prophets keep predicting their demise.” Bishop J. Y. Adu noted

“The Ghana Police Service should be commended for its statement cautioning religious groups and leaders to be measured in their utterances, especially how they communicate prophecies, which may injure the right of others and the public interest.” He added
