The Chief of Bekwai – Dadease, in the Ashanti region, Nana Twum Berima Apaeu II has donated twenty computers to the Dadease R/C Primary and JHS.
According to the Chief, the donation was meant to bridge the ICT deficit.
“I remember I came here to donate chop boxes and trunks for the JHS 3 students on my 3-years anniversary and you put this request across to me for assistance to upgrade your school lap to make it more habitable for students. I’m here to fulfil my promise to you,” he stated.
Receiving the twenty computers, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Ametepeh Lamptey expressed his delight at the honor done by their Chief.
According to him, the school laboratory doesn’t look attractive for the student to use when it comes to learning of ICT (Information Communication and Technology).
He noted that he had to draw the Chief’s attention to their plight when he donated the chop boxes and trunks to them last year as part of his 3-years anniversary.
He added that the Chief visited to ascertain things for himself and pledged to support as when resources are available to him.
“Today is the day the Lord has made it possible for him to redeem his pledge. The computers are 20 and it would be enough to panel the whole school lab,” he intimated.
He added, “the Chief has also promised to buy Jersey and football for the school.
“I stand here representing all my teachers and parents to express our profound gratefulness to the Chief for his kind gesture.”
