The Juaben District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost, Rev. Oppong Gyimah has called on the public to disregard reports that a deaconess of the church alleged to be a witch was found stuck on top of a roof of a building.

The incident reported by Accra-based Original FM to have occurred at Asante Juaben was captured in a video circulating on social media.

The reporter described the woman as a deaconess of The Church of Pentecost at Juaben District.

In the said video, the woman is seen stuck on top of a roof of a building.

Speaking to the media, the District Pastor said the woman captured in the video is not a Deaconess nor a member of The Church of Pentecost while describing the report as palpable false.

He said the issue has been reported to the Area Head of the church.

“We are not going to take this case lightly and the person behind this disgraceful act will be brought to book”. The District Pastor noted

Pastor Gyimah said the aim of the Church is not only to possess the nation but also to win souls for Christ aside from contributing its quota to the nation’s development.

For his part, the Chief Linguist of Asante Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Agyei Acheampong, also threatened to sue those behind the reportage especially, Original FM since the incident did not occur in the community.

Nana Agyemang noted that the report has not only damaged the image of the traditional area but also its people.
