The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has cautioned Ghanaians to disregard the circulation of messages on most social media platforms about recruitment exercises by some government institutions.
According to the Authority, such fraudulent messages are being circulated to scam desperate job seekers.
The Authority is calling on Ghanaians, the general public and especially social media users to be circumspect and note that genuine recruitments from any government institution or organisation especially the security services will be advertised in the media as a normal process.
It stated further that it is important for everyone to do due diligence to ensure the authenticity of any form of recruitment or employment scheme from the legitimate organisation/institution before making any monetary commitment.
The CSA has 24-hour Cybersecurity or Cybercrime Incident Reporting Points of Contact (PoC) for reporting cybercrimes and for seeking clarification and guidance on online activities and transactions to call or text 292.
