Jaman North District Programs Officer of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Mr Okrah Daniel has called on Ghanaians to live peacefully with each other.
He made this plea to Ghanaians while speaking on Yankee Fm, saying that people should portray the right character that will help them coexist well with others.
“Let us give utmost respect to ourselves. It has to be your duty to portray a very good character that will help live peacefully with each other.
“I will plead with all Ghanaians for the reason that we have only one Ghana and even when we have different opinions on issues, it does not call for a misunderstanding. What must be done is to weigh the two opinions to conclude on what will help the country. Every Ghanaian must live in peace with the people in their communities because that is what helps a country to develop devoid of whichever language one speaks.
“If we want our democracy to grow, this is what we must do,” he added.
Mr Okrah also asked people to have the spirit of nationalism by having an interest in helping keep our communities clean.
“In your area where you live, if there is something that is not in good shape or going wrong or even when there is communal labour, take the initiative to join so we can keep our communities clean. Do not wait for people from Zoom Lion to come and clean your communities for you.” He added
