Tema High Court B reportedly issued an arrest order for Afia Schwarzenegger.

According to reports, the court issued a warrant after the judgement on December 1, 2022.

Background

Afia Schwarzenegger known in private as Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa some months ago appeared on Despite Media’s UTV programme hosted by Nana Ama McBrown.

She stated that she had an affair with Wontumi which was not a one-night stand, but they dated for over 16 months.

The Ashanti Regional NPP chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako [Wontumi] who felt his reputation has been dented by the Afia Schwar filed a lawsuit against her.

As part of the reliefs for his defamation suit, Wontumi had asked the court to restrain Afia Schwarzenegger from talking about him in connection with the supposed love affair. But the vociferous media personality did not adhere to the restraining order during her UTV appearance. Wontumi thus felt she had gone against the court hence the contempt suit.

Court Action

At the Tema High Court B on Thursday, report indicates that Afia Schwarzenegger was sentenced to ten [10] days in prison over a contempt of court application by Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako.

Chairman Wontumi started an action seeking to commit Afia Schwar for contempt following her appearance on United Showbiz in July.

Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman cited Nana Ama McBrown, Kwame A Plus and Mr Logic, who were pundits on the show, for contempt.

The co-contemnors have been charged to pay (5,000 penalty units) GH₵60,000 to the applicant each or face a one-month jail term in default. while Afia Schwar was fined 5,000 penalty units (GH₵60,000).

The media personality was sentenced to 10 days in prison in her absence today over her defamation suit against Chairman Wontumi.
