E/R: Outgoing St. Peter’s SHS Head receive support from Nana Owiredu Wadie

The Chairman and founder of the KABAKA foundation, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, has contributed to the Valedictory and Send-off Ceremony for the immediate past Headmaster of St. Peter’s Senior High School, Mr Kwame Owusu Aduomi.

The ceremony, which climaxed with mixed feelings of a joyous, emotional and sad moment at the same time was to pay respect to the efforts of the outgoing headmaster of the school on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, who was made the Chairman for the occasion, commended Mr Kwame Owusu Aduomi for his relentless efforts in making the school grow in enrollment and Academic pursuits.

“I’m highly honoured to have been chosen as the Chairman of this very glorious event. Mr Aduomi has played important role in the development of St. Peter’s. Join me and let’s celebrate the good work he has done and give him a befitting ceremony”, he asserted.

Nana Owiredu Wadie I who also doubles as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of St. Peter’s SHS further applauded Mr Aduomi for the positive impact and advances he’s made in his short time of being in the school.

“Let’s celebrate Mr Aduomi, a man who has for the short time I’ve known, work tirelessly to develop our school, may the good lord bless you and God be with us all”, he added.

The outgoing headmaster, Mr Kwame Aduomi on his part, expressed his profound gratitude to the father of Nana Owiredu Wadie I, Mr Kwame Owiredu for standing behind the school in all of its activities.

“Above all, there’s one person I’d like to express my gratitude for, Mr Kwame Wadie. I’m forever indebted to you. When the old board was going away and we needed a new board, somebody whispered unto my ears that he has an illustrious and it’s only the father who can convince him to become the board chairman of the school. So I went to him, and readily, he picked up the phone and called the son, and now the rest belongs to history. Mr Chairman, thank you for accepting to become the board chairman of this school and it’s through the instrumentality of Mr Kwame Wadie.

Biography of the Outgoing headmaster

Mr Kwame Owusu Aduomi was born in Assin Fosu where he had his elementary education. He holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast, Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon. He’s a professionally trained teacher. He went through Komenda training college, where he obtained those days, certificate A in education.

Experience

He’s the immediate past headmaster of St. Peter’s SHS. He also headed Mpraeso SHS, St. Dominic’s in Aduamoa. He was also the Assistant headmaster of Methodist Day SHS in Tema. He taught at Mount Sinai SHS in Akuapem. He also taught at the basic level, thus not making him only a secondary school teacher. He taught at Community 5 No. 3 JHS and in Community 5 No. 1 JHS, both in Tema. He taught in one of the primary schools in Assin South District when he graduated from the training college. Mr Kwame Aduomi was a part-time lecturer at GIMPA. He was a lecturer at the Methodist University College, Dansoman Campus.

He was the National Secretary of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS. He was later made the Eastern Regional Chairman of CHASS and the Sports Committee Chairman of ACHEA. He is the Church President of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Mpraeso, and a Member of the night of St. John’s international. He’s a distant Member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Choir in Tema. He’s an entrepreneur, a Farmer, a motivational Speaker and a development consultant. He’s married with four (4) children.

Nana Owiredu Wadie I, known in private life as Richard Kwasi Owiredu Wadie, is an entrepreneur, a businessman and a philanthropist. He’s the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Board of Directors for St. Peter’s SHS. He’s the Nkosuahene (Development Chief) in Kwahu-Nkwatia traditional area in the Eastern Region. An astute businessman with nearly two decades of experience in setting up and running business ventures. He has an investment interest in varied sectors including Real Estate development, production and supply, logistics management as well as general goods and merchandise.

He has over the years used his charity foundation, KABAKA Foundation to extend developmental projects to various deprived areas of Ghana, thereby improving the lives of the vulnerable in our society. He has also responded positively to requests for various Public institutions with specific infrastructure.

Nana Owiredu Wadie I, as part of his contributions to the Valedictory and send-off Ceremony for Mr Kwame Owusu Aduomi, donated Gh¢5,000 to support the ceremony.

PERSOCBA Global Executive President, Ben Afrifa was present to support the ceremony.
