Some NDC Regional Chairmen have earlier today picked Presidential forms on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama.

The delegation led by Professor Joshua Alabi visited the party’s headquarters just hours after the General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey officially announced the opening of nominations for Presidential and Parliamentary primaries.

“Ghanaians are asking for a well-experienced leader, leadership counts. If leadership counts then experience is the key, one who has done it before and one who is very humble, one who loves the people and one who believes in people-centred policies. Fortunately for us in the NDC, as a country, we have somebody like that,” Prof Alabi said.

The former President who lost to President Akufo-Addo in the 2016 and 2020 general elections is seeking his last attempt to become president of the Republic on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.

At the party’s head office, the former campaign manager for the NDC, Prof. Joshua Alabi said he is 100% certain John Mahama would be sworn into office on January 7, 2025, as the President of Ghana.

All Members of Parliament (MPs) in Parliament have also endorsed the former President as flagbearer for the party in the 2024 elections.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) announced it will hold its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023, to elect a flagbearer and parliamentary candidates ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Nominations have been officially opened today February 22 is expected to end February 24, 2023, while submission and filing of forms are expected to take place between March 20 and March 22, 2023
