Asokwa Youth of the New Patriotic Party in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti region have called on the President, Nana Akufo-Addo to reappoint their Member of Parliament Honourable Patricia Appiagyei.
Speaking at a press briefing, the convener for NPP’s Asokwa Youth group, Mr. James kwadwo Pepprah (Teacher Kwadwo) said they have seen that Nana Akufo-Addo has rejected their Member of Parliament in his second term of office.
He noted that, in the history of Asokwa constituency, no one has been able to win the seat for three consecutive times. So this clearly shows the hard work Honourable Patricia Appiagyei has executed for both NPP and Asokwa constituency.
He said during her time as Kumasi Mayor her achievements were remarkable.
He indicated that Honourable Patricia Appiagyei has worked more than some Ministers currently serving in Akufo-Addo’s government.
“Asokwa deserves better or else we can’t break the eight.”
The Team also noted that the Municipal chief Executive, Hon. Akwaniasah Gyimah should be maintained because his collaboration with the Member of Parliament gained more votes for the NPP in Asokwa because of their hard work.
