Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on the current government and other governments to come in the future to put local industries first in terms of providing support.

Speaking as the guest speaker at the 7th edition of the Ghana CEO Summit, the flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress said prioritizing local industries and limiting the importation of goods can go a long way to create jobs for the youth in the country and also generate revenue for the state.

The 7th CEO Summit held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra saw a host of CEOs and was on the theme; Economic Sovereignty, Sustainable Corporate Governance, Digital Industrial Transformation: New Paths for growth and Prosperity, a private-public sector CEO Dialogue and learning
