Nigeria will face Ghana in the WAFU Zone B Women’s U-20 Cup of Nations after they defeated Benin in the second semi-final game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi Wednesday night.
At the end of the first half, Nigeria had taken a two-goal lead to give them an advantage over their opponents.
Amina Bello placed the Falconets ahead in the 23rd minute before Esther Onyenezide doubled their lead from a spot kick with about 15 minutes to the end of the first half.
Nigeria continued their dominant display in the second half, as Esther Onyenezide added her second of the day in the 61st minute to set up a final game between them and host nation, Ghana.
The Black Princesses of Ghana had earlier booked a place with a win over Burkina Faso and were waiting for the winner in the Nigeria-Benin match.
Meanwhile, the final of the maiden edition of the competition is set for June 3, 2023, at the Baba Yara Sports Staidum.
