A suspected thief has been lynched this morning, Sunday, July 2, at Obour Tumpan in Suhum municipality of the Eastern region.
The deceased was allegedly killed by some residents in the area for petty theft.
The Assembly member for Nyamekrom electoral area, Hon. Enock Boahene confirmed the incident.
According to the Assembly member, he received a distress call about the incident in the early hours of Sunday.
He then proceeded to the scene and found the lifeless body of the deceased, stripped naked but covered with leaves.
Hon. Enock Boahene said he quickly called the assembly member in whose electoral area the incident occurred to inform the police to convey the body.
