The Nkosuohenene for Anwomaso in the Ashanti region who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer [CEO] for Kuma Farms, Nana Kwaku Siaw, has made it clear that the country will not be peaceful unless the Anti-LGBTQ Bill is passed promptly.

In an interview with the press, the traditional authority expressed their belief that the bill’s passage has been delayed by politicians, believing they have intentionally done it.

“I’m not being a prophet of doom, but there will be possible chaos in the country if the Anti-LGBTQ bill isn’t passed. Since these so-called human rights lawyers and homosexual activists want their so-called rights to be respected, however the others, we the majority who do not support such idiocy will supersede them, which may create a lot of problems,” he added.

Nana Kofi Siaw reiterated that the NDC MPs must respect the laws of the country in order to have peace.

“Why do you have to boycott a parliamentary business because your MP is standing trial? This is unlawful, and I will plead with MPs to allow the laws to take its course”.

Members of Parliament have started debating the promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021 also known as the anti-LGBTQ+ bill.

The bill seeks to proscribe LGBTQ+ and related activities, proscribe propaganda of, advocacy for or promotion of LGBT and related activities; provide for the protection of and support for children, and persons who are victims or accused of LGBT and related activities
