Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton, has said that he is not surprised that Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has been attracting interest from Premier League clubs.
He said this during an interview with talkSPORT early hours of Tuesday, stating that Kudus is a high-profile player and was always going to have teams from the best leagues go for him.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been linked to a couple of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United as well as Brighton and Hove Albion.
Asked whether he thinks Kudus will succeed in the Premier League and whether he has inside knowledge about his move to England this summer, he said “No, I have no inside knowledge but he is a player of interest, there is no doubt and I know there was interest last season I think from Everton.
“So I think he is a player that will always show interest from clubs. He’s young, he has super ability, he can score a goal. He also has that flexibility you know, there is that question mark on what his best position is. At Ajax, last season, he was playing predominantly on right, where he comes in field. He is a player that can do things on the ball, particularly when the space is open up in a game, and has that ability to search in the spaces and can score goals so no surprise concerning the interest in him. For me, the most important is he is playing and playing as regular as possible,” he said.
