The family of Rita Anane, a deceased level 300 ICT student at the University of Education Winneba (UEW) in the Effutu Municipality of the Central Region, has come out strongly to demand justice for her death, which was reported on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, as a suicide at Winneba.
According to the deceased’s family, the widely circulated report of their daughter having died by suicide appears to be a fabricated falsehood that can never be accepted by them.
Christopher Yaw Abisah, brother to the deceased, in affirmation of the family’s stance over the report of his sister’s death, remarked that there were no signs pointing to the fact that Rita Anane actually died by suicide, as claimed, over the fact that his sister’s body depicts no such thing.
He indicated that the knot tied with the sponge on a ceiling fan, which is claimed to be that which his sister used in committing suicide, isn’t the type that can hold one to death.
He stressed that the family will use all available means to seek justice for his deceased sister, even if it implies that they do so spiritually, as the family is one that is spiritually inclined and believes that the soul of their departed member will speak up.
