The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has announced it will hold a mass burial for all unknown, unidentified and unclaimed bodies in its mortuary.
According to the hospital, the move is to decongest its mortuary which is currently full.
In a statement, authorities explained that, “These bodies have been in the morgue for varying periods ranging from one to three years and this has contributed to the exhaustion of the morgue’s capacity”.
“The Hospital is therefore, using this announcement to once again urge families who have the bodies of their relatives in our mortuary to come for them”, the statement added.
